Taking WITHAARYA initiative a step forward, we have recently been approached by Swaccha NGO in Amravati which is run by Aarti Amte, daughter of Prakash Baba Amte, and her husband to start a food distribution initiative at IRWIN Civil Hospital at Amravati.

Donations are nice ! But a present that supports meaningful charity can be special !!

This pandemic has brought in unprecedented times for all of us. Among those who are severely impacted are the Taxi Drivers of Mumbai. For a period of two years they have not received fares. A good number of people used Ola and Uber. This has led to complete dearth of savings amongst Taxi Drivers impacting their ability to secure daily meals. WithAarya took up the initiative of sponsoring the monthly grocery for the family of 4, of a whopping 300 taxi drivers.
Meet Vikas Jadhav. He was admitted to KEM last year due to lung infection. His ailment has made him dependent on oxygen 24/7. As he could not afford to have one at his house, he was forced to stay put at KEM hospital. In terms of caretaker he just had his old mother who was looking after him. Having seen his plight, one of the donors at Withaarya arranged an oxygen machine for him. This allowed Vikas the leeway to move back to his house and gave his old mother a respite too. After all in these covid times it is risky for senior citizens to remain in hospitals. There are million ways in which we can help those around us. We at WithArya are happy to come in touch with such amazing souls who don't bat an eye and donate for a cause.
We at Withaarya give away 6-8 food packets to few people abandoned and staying on footpath, they are barely surviving forget the hygiene and physical upkeep !!

Shipra has been a steady beneficiary at our centre. She has been at KEM taking care of her husband for liver aliment for almost 5 months. At times she is extremely tied up with hospital rounds but whenever she has any time free she is always at opportunity to help Withaarya in various aspects, be it distribution / managing queues etc.
Her indomitable spirit has often infected us. Looking at her efforts and zest one of our fellow volunteers has given her a sewing machine with which she can make some living here in Mumbai.
She now makes masks from the same which we distribute along with meals at Withaarya.
If you have a will, the seven seas between continents does not really matter. We experienced this when Vikrant Chachare, a school student studying in 9th grade, who resides in Ohio, U.S.A, collected a fund for Withaarya. It's really commendable that Vikrant at such a small age and being so far from India, could understand the importance of our mission here at DON GHAAS. His aquaintainces did not know Withaarya so well, but just on his goodwill he attained this contribution. Three cheers to Vikrant and also his parents for imbibing in him such valuables like empathy and love.
We thank all our donors who contributed to the blanket drive. Thank you for warming up the chilly nights!
A small ray of hope can lead you to sunshine. We at WithArya were not too sure till we saw gurshant walking towards us. Dumbfounded we were wondering is this a dream or reality. No matter the self pinch he was really there in real.. sakshat...very much hale and hearty and walking... our relentless efforts paid off... the young boy who was lying on the bed with a spine injury, no sensation in legs and no future... is here with us today standing on his own two feet. Its gods grace and a miracle in itself...such life changing transformations egg us further to do good each day... three cheers to gurshant speedy recovery...here is Gurshant smiling for you

So here is a win win for all. Dear Covid, everyone at WithArya will fight you tooth and nail and ensure food to the needy.
New solutions... newer problems ! The train schdeduled for taking people to other states got cancelled today leaving more than 500 people stranded on roads... withaarya made provisions for food and water to these people.... we will continue as long as we can !

Withaarya reached out to families who had lost everything that they had to fire in a hutment area Ganjamal at Nashik. They had lost everything from utensils to clothes etc and were on streets. Ofcourse government was taking care of them by providing for food etc and temporarily putting them at school for immediate.
Withaarya decided to reach out to them and make provision for their essential requirements like stove / utensils/ towels / sarees / nighties and other essentials required to start with living again, to be provided for all 106 families.
We were able to distribute these today to all, which is also birthday of our inspiration and our son Aarya!
We are sure he is watching us from above and hopefully we have bought smile on his face too !!!
Children's day is one special day for everyone, big and small. Like the previous years, WithAarya went about in zest to make it a memorable one for all kids in the KEM hospital.
These 3 pediatric wards were lit up with electric smiles on the faces of more than 100 innocent children and their parents who momentarily forgot the pains that they were going through for this day.
WithArya with all its enthusiastic volunteers organized a small children's day celebration.
Acts such as Magic Show, Tattoo Artists, Doremon, Chota Bheem, Gift Sets, Stationery Set, Craft Windmills etc, all added a lot of colour and fun to the otherwise monotonous hospital set up. Innocent laughter and love flowed through the ward and we all felt blessed to be a part of this wonderful day.
